November’s Volunteer of the Month is Gus Zimmerman.

Why did you start helping here?
As a little kid I always loved horses and wanted to ride them. I wanted to do riding lessons and thought this would be a great place to start. I began with work experience through school, helping out for a two week period which was much more fun than going to school. When that finished I wanted to continue helping out so now I do the hay and feeds on a Tuesday each week after school.

What are your favourite horses here?
Texas, Maestro & Smoothie

What do you enjoy most about helping?
Doing the hay with Lily and hanging out and meeting people, taking out ponies, cleaning Texas yard out.

Are you interested in having a career with horses?
Yes, at the moment I am trying to find a paid job with horses.
